Titanium Heart
Elemental metals like Niobium (Nb) and Titanium
(Ti) can be electrically and heat anodized to a wide array
of colors; oxide layers form on the surface of the
metal and depending on the thickness different
colours result. This 23mm heart-shaped piece of
Titanium was heat-treated and then distressed with fine
sandpaper and re-heated.
Materials: 0.180" Titanium plate, fire. Tools: aviation snips, 800 grit
silicon carbide sand paper, hammer, propane blow
